Why do I receive a message about a generated license report when I open Verify or other modules?

License reports are generated when a license warning message has been triggered. Messages are triggered to warn or remind you about expiration dates or license counter levels. Specifically:

  • license expiration date warnings are triggered when there are 30, 15 or seven days left until expiration.

  • counter level warnings are triggered when the counter has reached 70%, 80%, 90%, or 95% of the maximum number of invoices you can process according to the terms in your agreement.

To find out why the license message has been triggered, follow the instructions below:

  1. On a computer with Readsoft INVOICES installed, navigate to C:\Users\Public\READSOFT\INVOICES or equivalent.

  2. Open the Eilocal.ini file and look for the path in LogFile=.

  3. Browse the listed path and open the LicenseStatusReport folder. The license report file is located here and contains the reason why the warning was triggered.

After reading the report click Yes on the warning message. The message will not be displayed until the next time it is triggered.
